Important information: This position is recruited for by a remote Kelly office, not your local Kelly branch.  Applicants must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
 
The Calibration Tech constructs, inspects, calibrates, adjusts, tests and maintains equipment, components, devices and systems.
 
Site Responsibilities
Read and interpret drawings, QCIC’s, test methods and performs the tasks as defined.
Support root cause analysis and facilitate the resolution of problems.
Demonstrate ability to use basic inspection test equipment and instruments such as: micrometers, calipers, thickness gages, Instron testers, viscometers, etc.
Work with engineers to support development of new processes; testing & calibrating prototypes; testing and validating equipment; maintaining and repairing (when necessary) measurement & testing equipment.
Must be able to analyze, interpret data and support technical reports.
Must be able to effectively use a computer utilizing such programs as Calibration Manager, MS Word, Excel and test instrument operating software.
Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
Assist in the preparation of technical protocols, reports and change orders.
Must communicate effectively with co-workers on results and status of testing or projects.
Complies with requirements for cGMP compliance and process validations.
Communicate facility issues and any issues associated with the Calibration area to Management.
 
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 3 years utilizing calibration equipment and/or repair and maintenance of electrical or mechanical equipment.
Related experience in medical device manufacturing and have knowledge of key regulations and standards such as: QSR, Medical Device Directives, ISO13485 and 21CFR820.
Ability to manage through functional issues.
Ability to work under deadlines while managing multiple tasks and responsibilities.
Ability to coordinate processes with various internal groups.
Demonstrated sense of urgency and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
Must have proven strong problem-solving skills and be detail oriented.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure to a timely response.
