Our regional office is looking for an Electrical Drafting Technician to revise and prepare 2D & 3D drawings on a variety of building/facilities-related projects. This position offers the opportunity to develop your drafting skills on challenging projects and move into true design as fast as you can pick it up; granting you greater responsibility, growth potential and the chance to visit the field on project sites.These projects encompass building structures for the Department of Defense, Airports and Aviation, Aircraft Fueling, Universities, Military Reserve centers, and
others.The Electrical Drafting Technician will work on an integrated design team within our Aviation & Federal Global Practice to
perform the following duties:
-Using Revit and AutoCAD, assist in the planning and preparing of detailed drawings for building lighting systems, power systems, and low-voltage data and security systems.
– Coordinating with other disciplines.
– Responsible for revising existing drawings and preparing drawings of basic components from verbal or written instructions or detailed sketches.
– Successfully plot drawings; learn and follows company and client drafting standards and procedures; learn the practices of the electrical engineering discipline.
– Associates Degree within Architecture Technologies OR related drafting field
-Knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit
Nice To Haves:
– 1+ years of industry experience within Electrical Drafting and design
– 1+ years of Revit experience
– 1+ years of AutoCAD experience
