We are seeking a Network Operations Technician for an 11 month contract role with a leading client in Frisco, Texas.
In this role, the Network Operations Technician will join a NOC team that is responsible for 24×7 nationwide monitoring. The objective of this group and ultimately this position is to capture lessons learned on network outages and develop solutions to improve process, tools and performance to reduce repeatable outages. This role requires a detail-oriented and disciplined candidate. Your primary focus will be to handle surveillance and troubleshooting of cutting-edge voice and data technologies to provide national visibility of network outages for CORE, RAN, VAS, DATA & IP services. The Network Operations Technician will want to pay particular attention to self-inflicted outages. They will mine various systems for data analysis, conduct conference calls to help identify process issues that lead to network outages, and provide statistics and lessons learnt from past outages in order to recommend changes to mitigate future risks.
- 3 years of related professional experience in a network environment
- Troubleshooting experience
- Strong computer skills with the ability to work in multiple applications
- Detail oriented
- Experience in the telecommunications industry
- Experience working in a 24×7 environment
