Job Description


Good Communication skills required, fluent in English

Manage day to day IT operations

Preliminary knowledge of server management

Analyze and diagnose hardware problems, including printers.

Align with 3rd party suppliers for hardware troubleshooting.

Carry out swap, replacement, re-installation as required resolving hardware and software related incidents.

Administration of one or many of the Infrastructure elements /services viz. Email, Internet and Security of Central Monitoring Service/Operations/Corporate Projects. Being a part of Support groups dealing with incidents & problems.

Administration, installation and configuration of Infrastructure services/elements

Follow and implement relevant procedure to ensure compliance to company process/policies

To coordinate hardware and software upgrades and /or maintenance for above equipment

Monitoring logs as per security guidelines and for early detection of problems/breaches of policy

Investigation, diagnosis, resolution, recovery and closure of incidents / Problems

Rectification of HW like desktops and laptops (RAM /Hard disk replacement /upgrades)

Installation and updating of desktops and laptops operating systems and other software

Install config and maintain email client

Troubleshooting of operating systems

Testing of computers and laptops

Coordination with different teams/domains

Provide good Hands & Feet support to domain teams for their devices

Good Understanding from compliance side as per the Project SOW

Should be ready to travel to other state or country if required for short term assignment


Detailed Technical Skill set:

AD: Knowledge on – Active directory, Proxy, DNS, Group Policy.

Network: Knowledge on – LAN setup, basic switching, passive networking, cable management (Data / Voice), Wireless AP.

Desktop Security: Knowledge on – Antivirus deployment and update, patch management, monitoring and reporting, Disk Encryption, End-user backup, RSA securID.

Desktop, Laptop, Handheld devices: Knowledge on – build management, OS deployment / provisioning, common application installation and troubleshooting, Hardware knowledge, disposal (disk wipe / degaussing), Smart Phones, Tablets, Thin Clients, beamers, Video Conference equipment, Analogue / Digital Phone sets, Web cameras.

Printers: Hands on experience on managing printers (Local & Network printers), toner /consumables (staples) / maintenance kit replacement.

Tools: Hand on experience on ITSM tools like Service Now.

ITIL: Knowledge of ITIL processes and procedures.

Support the following technologies: Microsoft Office 2003/7/10 products – Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, Web browsers, Windows XP/7/8, desktops, laptops, printers, networked copiers, NIC’s, basic LAN/WAN connectivity and others as assigned.
