You will take ownership of plant operations at our Phoenix facility, including four production lines and three shifts working five to six days per week, depending on demand. You will <strong>showcase your ability to drive best-in-class operations </strong>by being a visible leader, spending a good deal of time on the plant floor and engaging your team. Some opportunities require relocation.</li><li>You will interact with leadership from other plants, as well as strong corporate leaders, affording you the opportunity to <strong>continue to enhance and refine your skills.</strong></li><li>We are backed by the stability and resources of a $3.4 billion <strong>global industry leader</strong> Boral Limited.</li></ul> To be a strong fit for the role of Plant Manager, you will need:<ul><li>5+ years of experience working as plant manager in a manufacturing / industrial environment. The ideal candidate will have significant experience with manufacturing <em>and</em> assembly</li><li>A college degree in Business, Management, Engineering or another relevant focus preferred; we will consider outstanding experience in lieu of a degree</li><li>A background in construction materials; sand and cement preferred</li><li>An ongoing commitment to driving and sustaining a culture where safety is the number one priority; solid knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety requirements</li><li>An eye for continuous improvement combined with knowledge of lean manufacturing principals. Ideally, you will have demonstrated success driving improvements in safety, quality, productivity and/or efficiency using lean methodologies (e.g. 5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma, etc.)</li></ul> In addition, after you've proven yourself in this role, you must be willing to relocate domestically to take on other plants if needed. <br /><br />Boral Roofing is a subsidiary of Boral USA and is the country's largest premium provider of complete roofing and re-roofing solutions for architects as well as commercial and residential builders.
