<p>Standard Industries, the world’s leader in roofing materials, is building out its connected energy team through its subsidiary, GAF.  We are looking for a product management candidate to manage development and commercialization of one of GAF Energy’s new solar products.</p><br/><p>The ideal candidate will have the skill to work cross functionally to manage product development and/or partnerships for GAF Energy’s solar products with the goal of commercializing these products to make GAF/Standard a leader in clean energy.</p><br/><p><u>Essential Duties</u>:</p><p><b><b>Product management</b></b>: Manage day to day development and partnerships of one of GAF Energy’s new solar products in development. This will include working closely with the R&D, and marketing teams to effectively analyze potential products, partnerships, and go to market strategies.</p><br/><p><b><b>Go to Market model</b></b>:  Standard, through its subsidiary GAF, is the leading roofing company in the United States.  As such, we have unrivaled access to a distribution network of roofing contractors and professionals.  The product manager for one of GAF Energy’s new solar products will work to enhance the clean energy product offering to homeowners in such a way that leverages our roofing contractor network by providing that network with product offerings that suite their customers and their business.</p><br/><p><b><b>Commercialization and Sale of Product</b></b>: The product manager must develop an operating plan and growth objectives including market share, revenue, profit, and return on investment and effectively report and communicate results on their respective products to stakeholders. This will include constant refinement of the plan based on reported metrics and close collaboration with sales and marketing teams. The product manager must also develop product training and corresponding collateral for the GAF Energy sales and installation training teams to train the roofing contractor network.</p><br/><p><b><b>Competitive Intelligence</b></b>:  The Product Manager will contribute to the understanding of the competitive landscape and will work cross functionally to assess potential technologies, development paths, partnership opportunities, and pricing by providing continuous feedback from research, industry networking, and field engagements.</p><br/><p><u>Related Experience and Requirements</u>:</p><ul><li>Minimum of five years product management, or strategy work.</li><li>BA/BS preferred</li><li>Bilingual English/Spanish preferred</li><li>Energetic and forward thinking</li><li>Ability to balance and prioritize competing interests</li><li>Collaborative and effective communicator</li><li>30% Travel</li></ul>
