The Data Center Break Fix Technician is responsible for configurations, deployment and maintenance of servers and the supporting infrastructure in a fast-paced environment with rapidly shifting priorities, while maintaining high availability. A strong attention to detail and effective documentation skills are critical components to success in this position.
Desired *Familiarity with Apple's Hardware Environment Apple, IBM pSeries and xSeries, Sun, HP, Datadomain, NetApp, Teradata, IBM Storage *Associates or Bachelor's degree *BICSI/RCDD Certification *2 or more years' experience installing and troubleshooting server hardware. *Ability to lift/move 50lbs equipment on a daily basis. *4 years' experience working in a large data center (10,000 servers). *Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage multiple projects and priorities. *Maintain high degree of self-motivation and independent decision-making. *Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills. *Driver's License and reliable transportation. *Knowledge of TIA/EIA and ITIL standards and guidelines.
